Blog Assignment #4

Instead of arguing for or against a specific issue or aspect of technology, Nye composes his book in the form of a series of questions and then explores and examines that question by providing multiple stakeholders' points of view. Your task for this blog will be to take one of Nye's questions and to examine it from your own perspective as a "stakeholder" in this discussion about technology.

First, read chapters two, five, and six of David Nye's Technology Matters, taking notes in any way that has proven to be useful to you.

Then, choose one of the questions Nye poses in his book and summarize how he works to answer that question. What kinds of stakeholders does he represent in his attempt to explore and answer that question? What kinds of sources does he draw from? What are some of the tentative conclusions Nye makes in regards to the question he poses.

Finally, given your own experience and perspective how would YOU answer the question Nye poses? Make sure to explain your perspective thoroughly and provide examples to support your point.

To make this post a little bit more interesting, I will give EXTRA POINTS to students who can figure out and include a link in their post. The link must be relevant to your post and help support the ideas in your blog in some meaningful way.
